The National WWI Museum and Memorial's current local admission offer gives nearby residents a reason to return with a different focus. Rather than trying to absorb a global conflict in one visit, choose a person's experience, a communication method or an object that raises a question.
From August 1 through December 30, 2026, the museum lists a $10 combination ticket for residents of Jackson, Clay, Cass and Platte counties in Missouri, and Johnson, Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties in Kansas. The offer includes the Main Gallery, special exhibition areas and Tower. It is available in person with valid identification proving residency; one ticket per ID applies, except for minors.
Fall regular hours are Wednesday–Monday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with Tuesday closure. Tower access depends on weather and includes an elevator followed by forty-five stairs, so check accessibility information before including it in your plan.
Temporary courtyard restrictions also matter: through November 13, the south ramps and east elevator remain open while the north stairs and west elevator are closed. Consult the current access notice before arrival. Leave enough time for the galleries themselves; the skyline view and the historical interpretation offer distinct experiences worth considering separately.
